What this site collects

Nothing you have to give us. There are no forms, no accounts, no newsletter sign-up and no shop on this site.

It sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers, so there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. We do measure how the site is used, in a way that cannot identify you — described below. The one thing loaded from elsewhere is the map imagery on the dealer page, also covered below.

02

Visitor measurement

We count page views so we know which pages are worth writing and which are ignored. It runs on Vercel Web Analytics, served from this domain rather than a third party, and it sets no cookies and stores no identifier on your device. It does not follow you between sites, and there is no profile of you to build or sell.

What is recorded is the page, the referring site, and coarse details derived from the request — country, browser, and whether you are on a phone or a desktop. It is aggregated into counts; no individual visit can be picked back out of it, including by us.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site does its job. Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing identifies you, no consent is required — which is exactly why we chose it over the usual analytics products.

03

Server logs

Our hosting provider records a standard web log for each request — IP address, time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. We use it only to deliver the site and to spot abuse or attacks.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure. Logs are held for a short period and then deleted.

04

The dealer map

The dealer finder shows an interactive map whose imagery is loaded from OpenStreetMap's servers. Like any embedded map, requesting those tiles tells OpenStreetMap your IP address and roughly which part of the map you are looking at. That exchange is between your browser and them, under their privacy policy, not ours — and it is the only content anywhere on this site that is loaded from someone else's servers.

The "use my location" button asks your browser for your position, and your browser will ask your permission first. It is used inside the page to sort dealers by distance. It is never sent to us, never sent to anyone else, and never stored — close the tab and it is gone.

05

If you email us

We hold your address, your message and our reply — for as long as needed to deal with it and to keep a record of the exchange.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

06

Warranty registration

When a certified installer commissions a Deeprey system, they record the unit's model and serial number against your vessel, along with your name and contact details, so warranty cover can be honoured later.

The lawful basis is performance of the warranty and our legitimate interest in supporting the products we build. Records are kept for the warranty period and a reasonable time after it, in case of a claim.

07

Who else sees it

Our hosting and email providers, acting on our instructions and bound to keep it confidential. Your installing dealer, where a warranty claim or service visit needs it.

We do not sell personal data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you. We disclose it otherwise only where the law requires.

08

Where it is held

Data is processed in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a provider processes it elsewhere, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement to keep the protection with it.

09

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. Write to contact@deeprey.com and we will answer within one month.

If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — though we would rather you came to us first.

Changes
